Business Design is not purely about Strategy, even as strategy is an integral element of business design. Business Design is not only about Design Thinking, even though it is a vital toolkit. Capability modeling alone does not represent business architecture, even though it is the first citizen among all other components.
Iit’s a design role, and a great Business Designer is just that: a designer, intrinsic to the design process but critical to business success. Perhaps one day we’ll all be business designers at heart, and it’ll be as much a part of design education as anything else.
